We Might Really Move In

The kitchen is scheduled to arrive this week.

The electrician is installing lights and outlets this Friday.

We told the people we've been renting from that we will be moved out by May 1st.

Ahhh!

This is Max's closet door. If you think it looks small, then you have a good eye. I guess next to the bedroom door there is no questioning it, huh. Well, this is the result of two amateurs designing their own home. We noticed this after the house was framed and decided we didn't care. So what? It's smaller than normal--it fits the occupant of this room more perfectly, ha!

Here's the kids' shower. I am so in love with subway tile.

The shed roof ceilings are finished.

This is the tile for the mudroom/laundry room. It's porcelain tile that looks like brick. I have loved it for a long time but got cold feet about going with this at the last minute. Then Rod said he really wanted it and insisted so I'm back to loving it again.

This is Caroline's closet. We're using reclaimed lumber for the shelves.

The stairway doesn't have spindles yet. We were considering these electrical pipes, but we're also considering stainless steel cable.

These are the doors. They weren't my first choice but they were more budget-friendly. I like them none-the-less.

This is the pantry. We decided to use the last reclaimed door here. To the right is the family room and to the left is the hallway that will have a washer and dryer, a half-bath, a desk/office area, a small coat/locker area, and the door that leads out to the shop/barn.

Here's the very small half bath.

We used barn siding on one wall.

The following are views from our windows.

That's all for now.

Thanks for following.
